President’s Message - 2009

"Welcome to the website of the Fort Detrick Post of the Society or American Military Engineers. I am delighted to follow in the footsteps of our two past presidents, Colonel Donald Archibald and Mr. James Peck, PE. James did a fantastic job leading the Post this past year, and I am anxious to follow his success and help take the post to the next level. What a super Post we have! 

The Fort Detrick Post is a growing, energetic post, and we hope that you find our meeting topics for the 2010 program year to be as exciting as I do--although we are always looking for interesting and educational speakers to add to the program. Please contact a member of our board of directors if you have a topic you would like to suggest.

If you would like to participate even more in the activities of the post, please consider joining one of our standing committees. We have a good, and growing, scholarship program, partnerships with local schools, and special young member activities, and are always looking for good people who would like to contribute more to the post activities.
